What is a Book Club?

Book clubs bring together friends, family and anyone with an interest in literature to enjoy each other's company and share stimulating conversation, as well as delicious food and drinks! With traditional book clubs, members choose a work to read and then gather at a specified time and place to discuss the work. Discussion guides can be very helpful in sparking conversation, and many book clubs serve food and drink that relates to the theme of the book.

The atmosphere at a book club can take many forms, depending on the individual members and the work being discussed—it can be lively and spirited, or it can be serious and profound. Whatever the mood, book clubs foster a spirit of togetherness and discovery.
